Deathway chapters 1 to 5

For the next few weeks the blog posts are going to be quite similar in their content (unless something unexpected happens): updates on Deathway. I am excited to announce that the editing is going really well so far and this past week I’ve been able to publish chapters 1-5, which is essentially a third of the book (the entirety is 15 chapters long). If everything goes according to plan, I should have the whole novel published online in about 2 more weeks!

Like I wrote in last week’s post, I do invite anyone willing to be a beta reader to provide me any feedback. I will in turn include your name / nickname in the acknowledgements section.

As far as the content of Deathway goes, I can safely say that having an outline has helped me tremendously (especially compared to how I wrote my first novel Lambda). In respect to my original draft of Deathway, I didn’t have to change any story bits or make significant alterations – I am merely focussing on rewriting some words or sentences.

So in other words, I am really enjoying reading it through and making edits. I do wonder if there are any parts coming up where I will feel differently – we’ll see! At any rate, as I said, this is pretty much the update for this past week.
