I have started writing my first book Lambda (or rather, the first book that I intend to finish, as opposed to the stories I started to write when I was 12), multiple times. First one was in the summer / autumn of 2014. Every time, I would have all these great ideas and eagerness to start, and then I got stuck, for one reason or another. For anyone interested, I shared parts of my personal story in the Introduction to the book.
I also worried too much if my writing was cliche, or boring or repetitive or even if I was missing something and it didn’t make sense on the whole. I would hate my own writing and stop in the middle of writing a chapter, telling myself I need a better idea.
And then last week I decided: no more excuses. I’m getting this done and even if the first draft might be horrible and I’ll have to revise and edit most of the book – even rewrite it – at least I’ll have it done. I am planning to keep this tempo up for the foreseeable future, writing 3-4 chapters per week (possibly even more?).
With that said, I also reorganised this blog. Now the blog posts will be about my writing (instead of pages of the book). And the chapters of the book will be neatly organised as separate pages, accessible from the menu Books > Lambda > Chapters.
Having said that, here are the links to what I’ve written so far. Any comments are welcome, but bear in mind that this is the first draft and that a lot of it might change with successive revisions. Still, any comments are appreciated:
