Since I was in the middle of working on my final (capstone) project for the Data Science Bootcamp with the Nashville Software School (NSS), I decided to wait a bit until writing and publishing the blog post for May.
Unfortunately, I’ve not yet been able to publish the app that I’ve developed in conjunction with my final project (still working on it; in the meanwhile, here’s the blog post to my midcourse project!), but I do have the entirety of the code for various projects we worked on available on my github (minus the data of course).
At any rate, as of yesterday, June 15th, 2023, I’ve officially graduated from the Data Science Bootcamp with NSS! This marks me completing some form of school on two different continents and in three different countries!
The whole DS6 class was a blast through and through and I’ve previously written about some differences between a bootcamp and classical education. I’ve had wonderful classmates and learned a whole lot from them, both in terms of skills as well as life experiences. Here is our spectacular class website.
And truly, we all had an absolutely amazing instructor, Michael Holloway, and two amazing Teacher Assistants (TA), Rohit and Neda. Their expertise, patience and shared knowledge is out of this world (though I am biased, of course)!
Ultimately, this whole journey which included the help from the career development team, helped me kickstart my career as a data scientist, landing a Data Scientist role with SERVPRO that I’ve been settling in for the past month and a half or so.
All in all, I am just truly and completely grateful for this wonderful journey. 10/10 would recommend – and in fact, I’m planning to be a TA with the very next cohort. For (data) science!
