Spring Cleaning 2022

I don’t know if this is going to become a yearly occurrence (last year I did it in May), but I change some stuff around my website again! As the two puppies are now a year old and I am finding again some time to write, so I’m gearing up to editing and writing more books.

Firstly, I changed the look of the page. This one was kind of needed once again because I’m using free WordPress themes. Unfortunately, the dark/light mode is gone for now as a result (rest in pepperoni, I really liked that – maybe it will be added in future releases?), but in response, I am finally able to edit the header and footer of the page as I want! There’s also more options overall to page design, so I took the WordPress Twenty Twenty-Two theme and ran with it!

Coincidentally, that is why I chose to upload a similar – but different – picture than last month. The one from March was done mid game, with some early game equipment even. The one for April on the other hand, that was my end game gear (finished Elden Ring once, going at it for the second time). I think the comparison between those two pictures represents a great analogy; often times the changes are perhaps not crazily different on the surface, but there can be much more going on underneath!

And secondly, I focussed on catching up on a whole lot of 30 second reviews. There were a few old ones that I slightly adjusted after rereading, but nothing major. I also decided to go back to just the 2 possible ratings – either I recommend it or not. The whole reason I tried to use stars was because of what WordPress.com offered, but I ended up having to alter it significantly anyway.
