Yesterday, July 25th 2021, marked the upload (with the final edits) of Deathway on my webpage. This is the second version (or, you can call it the first edit after the original draft) and the first one to be available for anyone to read! I am looking for beta readers and potentially a publisher. I will be focusing on this over the coming months and if nothing comes out of it, then I’ll be self-publishing it on Amazon after at least a few more rounds of edits, exactly like I did with Lambda.
Either way, if you decide to read it now, the final version shouldn’t be much more different (unless I get a professional editor). The only “major” changes might be in regards to chapter names – I kind of came up with them on the fly and might decide to alter them in the future – and the very final chapter, 15. The reason I say that is because even though I’m happy with it, I’m not sure if I struck a good balance between explaining enough and leaving it up to the reader’s imagination. We’ll see!
Now that I’ve effectively finished my second novel/book, I’ll be thinking about the theme / ideas and whatnot for my third novel. That said, I have absolutely no clue when I’ll start writing it. Since it’s my number three, maybe it would be appropriate to use Valve Time – in honor of the company who just can’t count to 3 with any games they make.
Regardless of how long the publication of Deathway and the writing of another novel will take me, fear not, I will keep writing short stories and publishing them on my webpage on a regular basis, as well as a weekly blog post like this one. And depending on how it goes, there’s a chance that my third book is going to be a collection of short stories.
